Parents of children with diabetes

Maruchi, I would try to take away all the sweeteners, the same thing happened to my son, also feces, also remove the lactose, and look at what was best to take away all the products "without" including the yogurts, eat normal activia,They have a 1.5 rations, because nothing corresponding and point, with cookies and everything else the same. The sweeteners are digested in the intestine, and produce many gases and abdominal discomfort.Look you can do the test with yourself, for a day or two, eat everything with sweetener, cookies, yogurts, milk, candies and everything in proportion to your weight, I mean if your child eats a caramel or a gumTo your weight with respect to the child. You'll tell me ... now ...
Anyway, we were offered a test to know about lactose that I think it consisted of ingesting how many grams of lactose and then because of the breath mediate the amount of hydrogen or something like that, well I have looked, that I had toblow in a device.

It seems to me that these heights are still "prescribed" fixed guidelines for food and insulin to tiny children an aberration, existing insulin pumps, HC counting for rations, Joer! They could already get a little more.I also left the hospital with a fixed pattern of rations for meals, with breastfeedingWeave a 10 -month -old baby because you could not know how much milk I took, yes sir, with two ... not only are they shown to punctures in the fingers, in the culillo or wherever, they have put a route, you cannot eatWhat you want, and the mami teta or taste it, please, that little humanity. These children before diabetics are children, their well -being and quality of life is fundamental and should be the main objective of treatment.I can only recommend that you ask, what do you ask for solutions to the endocrine, if you do not seem logical what they tell you say, surely there will be a way that the child eats appropriate to his appetite. And then there is always the Internet ...

Hello everyone

I went to recommend a book:
Type 1 diabetes in children, adolescents and young adults: how to become an expert in their own diabetes
by Ragnar Hanas.
You can see it at: Link ... 04104.html

You can read a little piece and see the index at:

I have already asked myself: D

Hanas is one of the best, but the best, specialist in children's diabetes in the world.

The book is eminently practical but very complete, introduces technical topics and concepts in a simple and affordable way for everyone.

Thanks Prado for your recommendation, I read the previous edition in English and I was even about to buy it, and that I have a lot of effort to read in English.I also recommend it, the one I read had a chapter dedicated to the insulin bombs that helped me a lot, I think I will buy it we will see, the price is a bit backwards, but if you have not read any of Dr.Hanas and your children have recently debuted I would not hesitate to spend the 40 Euracos.

Good, Mornita, totally agree with you on what you have to be more flexible and think above all about the welfare of the kids, surely you can find solutions for almost everything.

Regarding the book to tell you that the kings have been thrown to me and it seems great, it deals with the issues very naturally and you feel as if things were not so complicated, I have read other things before and it made me feel very sad and yetWith this I do not give me any laziness put a little while every day, take a chapter and read it and when I finish I am animated.

Kisses and good weekend

Good morning!!!!
Maruchi, I agree with Mornita.I take sweeteners for a long time and I had never had gases until then, and they are very upset, I imagine that in a child even more.I would also tell you to choose the normal ones, it is a matter of adjusting insulin. With respect to lactose milk, once we take it at home, it has some HC, s less than normal and is more digestive.Let's see if between some things and others the little one is straightened.
Ay Owash, but what would we do if you?;)

Good morning to all.

Well, there could be an offer because I have asked for it, that if yesterday at the book of the book, shipping costs were free, something is something, the PQ well seems that hunger has already made it and does not hurt so much theBather that if the punctures are lately, we take them bad

Hello again,

Nando remains more or less the same.

Mornita (sea), how are you?will you be ready?I wish you a very nice moment!
The sweeteners take them away from time ...that sweeteners 0 ... some chuche that I buy in Mercadiabet that are also with tagatosa ....

MORNITA, do you give Simon some chuche?Do you know somewhere to buy something to Nando? And the sugar chupachps that you carry polyhydrates (or what is called), do you know how they count?Sometimes I have given him some but it does not seem that they upload a lot ... what do you do with the kids? The mercadiabet chuches are quite well ... each tell about 2.5 per chuche ... so from time to time I do give any and in the meetings (as you are running like crazy) you can take up to 5 and do notThey affect too much ...

I went to the pediatrician, I examine it from top to bottom and weight. It weighs 18 kilos so it seems that it continues to fatter normally (something that reassures me quite quite) ... I palpate my belly well ... I told me that gastritis was not because I would also have to have vomiting and complain a lot about belly pain ...So good ... Clinically I didn't see anything ... I added some more things in the analytical steering wheel that I have prepared from the endocrine for next week and the most specific feces culture ..... to take it away100% lactose to see how such ... and there I am, doing the lactose -free diet ... and there is little to give the poor! To see if it improves ...

We continue with the gas explosion specifically at night ... let's see how tonight ... 3 days without lactose ....

I have also asked the book as a gift to fulfill my brothers :)

kisses

Sea

Maruchi: There is a chuches store at the end of Jaime II Street, down almost arriving in Cort, I don't remember what is called, there they sell some sugar without sugar, bears, coca-colas, frutites, and sugar-free chupachups. In Mercadiabet I have bought the clouds. In the Bell-Ros there are sugarless candies and chewable candies without sugar. With all these care with the sweeteners, because you have to count half of the hydrates of the polyalcohols, it is 10 g of HC of polyalcohols 5g accounts.Eye! With overdose they feel fatal to the pancha, my son does not usually eat many sweets for that reason, but what I did is prepare a varied bag for the school, so when they distribute sweets or the "rosaris" for example, the teacherHe gives him his bag, I tell you because you will once have a "surprise."
But is it sure your child can't take lactose? But have the tests done?

Mornita,
Thanks for the information of the chuches ... I will have to look that they do not wear gluten either ...
I also made a varied sachet with mercadiabet chuches for school! As we are the mothers ... if we think about every detail ... :)
Well, with the theme of lactose is not clear ... still.Lelvo 3 days without giving him any lactose and at the moment we remain the same (every time he goes to the bathroom to do pipi also makes pools ... not much but if something and is always a normal "peanking", less at night that he isRate with gase explosion and sometimes it is accompanied by "liquid" peanut ... the truth is very strange.
I tell me the diolestive that you cannot see a lactose intolerance through analytics or stool samples ... I do not comment if there was any option to see it ... he told me that if you could see the intolerance to the cow protein(Of course, since I am and we are going to prick it then they look at it too ...).And if I have removed the lactose completely about 3 days ago I suppose that I would need at least a couple more days to see results (if it were intolerant), right ??

There I continue .... investigating ... but he doesn't complain about pain or anything.

By the way, another topic ... for all ...
The Jewell bomb of Switzerland ... I know they don't distribute it here ... but it wouldn't be possible to go to put it there?Surely a money will cost but you think about this) an opinion?Enter their page and the truth is that this bomb looks great ...
Forgive my ignorance about the bombs ... especially those that you have so much experience.

Thank you

A kiss

Sea

In the unit where they treat Angela (day hospital), they do the lactose intolerance tests, among others ... it seems to me that they are giving a certain amount of fluid with lactose and then have to breathe in something similar to aboat ... I think it's called hydrogen test in breath ... that they do for several hours ...
In the pharmacy there are some sugar and without buttock bears, I buy them from Angela from time to time.
Mornita, I didn't remember your pregnancy ... how are you going?

Kisses and good day.

Good morning!!!!
Mornita, already in the final stretch, ufff, what joy !!!!That "bad sleep" at night when you have a baby is so different from the one we have with our boys ... ASYSSSS .... It is normal for you to be disturbing, the last month is what it has, but surely everything will be great. We will be pending.
Maruchi, in the hospital they have given me this address, says that there are products for celiacs, diabetics and lactose without ...

www.ecodiet.es >

He has also told me that the Junta de Andalucía has edited a magnificent book about Celiacía ... It is on the website of the Board, in case you want to take a look.

I have to leave ... kisses and good day.

Good morning!!!
How are you going?Marichu, the other day I had to leave and I could not wear what they told me in the day hospital about lactose, well the obvious thing is that I produced many intestinal discomfort, gases and others, and that there are many foods, apart from theMilk, which contain it (I understand that you already have it in mind, but just in case).Look at the labels well, but first of all I would try to make the test.

Kisses and good day.
