Hello Pabloj2000.Yes, it is the update software what I download (the suite does not allow you to update).I followed the instructions to the letter:
Link
As I commented, I get the message that appears on page 12: "There are no updates available for the connected receiver" either connecting to American servers. As far as I cannot update receptors from outside the United States. If someone has achieved it, I would appreciate it as.

Salu2

Edito: For those who want to prove it here the link (not necessary registration):
Link
It makes no sense that we cannot install the update. Can you imagine that Apple took out a new version of iOS only for American users?

The first of my son must be on the point of saying enough (he has 10 months) and I do not feel like buying the big one again there are already the thinnest.
Does anyone know anything?

I don't do that. The first thing I do is lift the skin tape a little and I permeate well between the skin and the tape (of the sensor), I let it dry a little before pressing the tape on the skin so that it sticks well.If you don't let dry a bit, don't hit well.
And then when I have already hit the tape, what I do is moisten well above just the limits of the tape, but let's go that is what I do that I do not say that it is the best.
What is true that permeating the skin tac on the skin before putting the sensor holds much more time, the wipe envelope I open it with scissors on one side of the narrows to be a clean cut, and then after using itThe first time I close it with fixo well so that not between any air, so if I take off I use the same wipe again.

I followed your wise advice and worked the second time it is better to do it according to your procedure although it does not last so much stuck but something else if

Keeping an adhesive as large as Dexcom's is much more complicated than doing so with that of the free.More surface to keep glued ... and more time (if you are lucky and keep giving you good readings).I am now testing the Dexcom again and keeping it stuck seems to me its great handicap.

Well, I don't cost me anything in fact today I am going to take away a sensor that I have been taking off for 26 days but not because I took off (I had some take off I followed Jconegar's advice) and I have it there, I'm going to take it out becauseToday he has literally stopped giving good results, but in previous I have taken it 28 days perfectly and that I forget that I wear it and on more than one occasion I have thought that I started when I have gone to the bathroom and I got up or loweredThe pants.

We have had to do a thousand probatures to avoid allergy. From those tests I can draw an interesting conclusion: the adhesive of the Dexcom is absolutely fixed to any of the transparent dressings of the market (Fixomul roll, Tegaderm dressings, IV3000 dressings ...).
If you want, try the following: you hit the body the transparent dressing you want, larger than the Dexcom sticker, with a hole about 8mm in diameter where you will insert the needle (you have to point).Normally these dressings stick just as well (or better) as the Dexcom. But if you get up, you just have to add an adhesive strip on it (cut of the transparent fixomul roll for example).
Unfortunately, my son cannot be left for more than 15 days, not because of the sensor but for allergy. And we always have to remove it in perfect condition and stuck.

Aandres, you have been peobly to do the same but instead of with the Fixomul, with the Hydrfilm, it is very respectful of the skin, it is the one that holds in the hospitas the roads to the babies., I use it with the dexcom.
I tried the intrasite but I slaughtered me alive to take away

Hello Gala.
Well no.It must be how little we have not tried. Please tell me the full name, laboratory and presentation to ask for it (although I do not know if there are more boxes in the "Diabetes drawer", which is already beginning to be an arch!).
Anyway, we keep testing. It is very possible that it is a theme of allergy-mooring by moisture (showers, sweat ...).
In fact, we put a new sensor by removing layers, to see how.We had been with Spray protection for a couple of months (Cavilon), two layers of transparent dressing (Tegaderm) and then the Dexcom.Let's see if taking off layers, we reduce the maceration effect without increasing allergy.
Thank you.

I carry this size, well I cut it a bit, I suppose that if it is to put it under the Dexcom it will be a smaller size, 5x6cm.
It is also very easy to put already you will see it.
I send it to the mail that does not let me load the photos

Hello, my son has been using Dexcom for several months, with quite acceptable results; However, with the arrival of summer we have problems with skin discomfort and taken off from the sensor. The child sweats a lot and does a lot of sport, the sensor is totally detaches to the second or third day and the skin is very red in the sensor area (not that of the tape that is porous breathes), due to the maceration of the skin.We have tried Novalab's IV3000 dressings, Tegaderm and some more and produce allergy, so we cannot use them. The last sensor took off in 24 hours (as annoyed to lose € 70) and also offered fully crazy glycemia values (150 differences). In winter a sensor lasts a month and with very good values.Total that we have stopped using it in summer and we will try if we get the free freestyle that seems that the sensor is smaller and less heavy so it may be more. When summer will go back to Dexcom.

@asanz, when you tried the IV3000 or Tegaderm dressings, did you put them directly on the skin and above the Dexcom or on the contrary? It is rare for those dressings to produce allergy and that the decomes itself. They are also breathable.
We have that maceration/allergy problem and is complicated.Right now we are with:
- Area to put the absolutely healthy dexcom
- Spray Cavilon (creates a layer on the skin) in two passes
- Two superimposed tegaderm dressings (making a little hole for insertion)
- Dexcom patch

Thus we get the redness to be practically limited to the sensor area (but we do not leave it more than 15 days). The damaged cure zone in 3 days with an ointment called Diprogue.

When you start taking off, we cut strips of transparent fixomul in roll to paste above the area that is taking off.And so we are pulling.

But if your child is allergy to these dressings, bad matter.

In some US forum I have seen that there are people who put this under the sensor and do well for the theme of allergies.I don't know if it can be achieved in Spain ...

Link

I do not leave the sensors for more than 3 weeks because but a rash in the area begins to leave. And so that it does not take off it has been better for me to take it on the arm that is less sweat.

We have tried to put the tegaderm under the sensor and took off completely in less than 24h and with the skin very reddened throughout the Tegaderm contact zone with the skin.Putting it above the sensor, the sensor plastic area and the tegaderm area were reddened, the same thing happened with IV3000 and some other that I have tried (I think all of these that call "second skin" have the same glue). The penultimate sensorIt lasted 4 days and the last less than 24h and with very reddened skin, about € 70 the sensor is economically unasumable. However, when it was not so hot, he endured with the same sensor 4 weeks.I just registered on the Freestyle website and they say the waiting list is approximately one month. The freestyle sensor seems smaller and less bulky, we will try, but I can't continue using the Dexcom, at least in summer, I don't know why but my son is very sweat.
If you use the cavilon, by clicking the sensor needle, the product is not introduced into the subcutaneous area of the skin?

I can't tell you.I guess something is.But it has not had any reaction and we have already had more than a dozen sensors with this method.
If you have allergies or reactions, it is very important not to put the sensor in a damaged area. The more you rotate, the better.Unfortunately, contact allergies have no cure.Just eliminating contact.

A few questions, when the transmitter battery is spent, what is done with it? Do you send it to Dexcom?Do you charge you for the new?Is there any notice that there is little battery and it gives time to ask for a new one before the current one is exhausted?

Thank you!!

Let's see I have changed only one from Dexcom G4.I believed that when I warned you, I would do it with time for another to ask for another, but no, on the third day of giving me the notice "Bajor Baja", or something like that put on the receiver, hard only 3 days.
I shoot all batteries and batteries to a container of those batteries.
If they charge you a new one.
As I have told you at the beginning I from you as soon as the mesage comes out, I would ask for one, precisely last summer I opened a thread about it asking how you.
