Broncas, not one. They are your glycemia.
Didn't you get well by climbing the dose of Toujeo?

With the anger I mean that I have begun to get Lantus without taking into account her opinion, only that of my head doctor, and she is the specialist. But it was already desperate ... until crying with helplessness, of putting everything on me and not being controlled.
With Toujeo I was much better controlled than with Tresiba, but I didn't just convince me ... especially for grains and others ... and now with Lantus, for now, I am perfect !!:)

Good morning to everyone.I carry with the Toujeo two fair days and for the moment I have to get so much the novorapid in all the meals and a couple of units more than with the Lantus; The body will still be doing it because I had been with Lantus for many years.I have not had nocturnal hypo in these two days but I get up with 180 almost nailed the two days.It seems more stable but I get higher figures before and after meals.
We will continue adjusting to see how.

Keep the basal, one in one unit.It takes more than Lantus.

I do not know what to think, although I am adjusting today I have spent the night with 250 and I have almost not stuck an eye on thirst and sweating.I would not like having to start correcting now at midnight with Novorapid since that is not a problem that I had before with Lantus;Yesterday I spent all day with figures above 160 and I got down to 111 at 9 p.m.At the moment I have hit me completely to the control and although I am correcting I do not just convince me.

Hello
AJD, what are you guideline? What time do you put the toujeo?
You have been very little with her very little.
I have been a month and a half and I am still trying to see the best time to put it and the dose.
Some conclusions that I take at this time is that flat is not.At least it makes me a little peak at 4 and half to put it.
Now I put it at 11.30 am to try to make the beak coincide with the post food, about 4pm and there if I see that I am fair to eat something.
Most people say they are doing well, so let's see if we manage to adjust it.I already tell you that it is costing me.
Someone who was great to explain how they adjusted dose and ideal moment?
Thank you all!

Hello good,

Well, I start with the toujeo. It is the 1st time that the endocrine changes my insulin.I come from a time that seems that with Lantus as basal I was shot my glucose between hours, especially between food and dinner, despite having a good post-candor of food and not snacking (I put me lantus before sleeping). This has caused me an lack of control that I had no weeks ago, despite continuing to take everything to Rajataba. The result has been a slight increase in glycosilada, nothing alarming and 'good' by hair.I was coming to change insulin. He told me that the Tresiba would cause me hypos so let's see how the toujeo is given.I will try to increase exercise even though I always do.At the moment I take 11 from Lantus to 12 from Toujeo.Does anyone know if excess heat can cause very beast glucose peaks? It is that I have a temportadita that one day is H and the other is B, it has no coherence and there is nowhere to take it.They told me that less insulin is usually needed but maybe the opposite happens to me.All the best.

When passing from Lantus to Toujeo, the units usually increase. But the injected volume is lower, the toujeo is more concentrated.

I changed to the Tresiba and I do better than the Lantus.

Well, the lantus has changed me for the Toujeo a few days ago the endocrine.

I get up very high in the morning and have been insisting a lot lately with the bomb because I need much more basal in the morning than in the afternoon.Instead it has changed me to the toujeo and instead of injecting it at the time of food I have to do it at night. We'll see, I am a bit exception and I think the doctor is won.

Good @tyles, if it serves as guidance I went from 13 from Lantus to 18 from Toujeo.I think that insulin is much more stable, although it is also hard for me to get higher every morning (then the day quite well)

As a curiosity with the theme of the dose between Lantus and Toujeo Copio-Pego of the technical tab or of Toujeo characteristics:

Change between insulin Glargina 100 units/ml and toujeo
"Insulin Glargina 100 units/ml and toujeo are not bioequivalent and are not directly
interchangeable
- When changing from insulin Glargina 100 units/ml to toujeo, the change can be made unity
A unit but toucket doses of toujeo (approximately 10-18%)
may be necessary
Get adequate levels of plasma glucose.
-When it changes from toujeo to insulin Glargina 100 units/ml, the dose should be reduced
(approximately 20%) to reduce the risk of hypoglycemia. "

If you were in my hospital in Madrid they would have already offered you the corresponding brand bomb that has "persuaded", you would even have taken other "sponsored" things.Of course do not ask for a Dexcom sensor a month, that although much less money they put is a poem.

You will notice safe difference with Toujeo since everyone reports that it lasts longer.

That the action of a basal insulin is always constant in your body and never exhausts at the beginning dislodged but then changes your life better.

I am with Tresiba and now in summer I am needing very little basal and there are days that if I have noticed it too high, I simply do not put it.I will not take 48 hours without administering slowly and I am perfectly.

If the problem is not the duration of the Lantus.I was injected with me at the time of the food over 4 in the afternoon and the best levels curiously I have the hours before reaching 24 hours. That is why I do not understand the change from Lantus to Toujeo and pass it from food to the night

A flatter action is also reported that can benefit you (or not).

I would give you a chance with patience at the beginning.

The last Wednesday had revised with the endocrine and changed me to Toujeo. But I don't know why, I am not working well, today I got up in 200 that has not happened to me and after breakfast with correction 283. These days of behind I have also noticed the highest posts of more than 160.
Has anyone happened to someone? Is it going with the days? But I'm afraid I am going to return to the Lantus ...

Hello everyone,
It takes time to adjust the toujeo (at least it is costing me).I notice it more flat, with fewer peaks than the lantus, but still not flat at all as I already mentioned.
MARGA_RITA take a while because you have been very little with her.I started in May putting it at night, then I spent noon and now I put it at breakfast because in the morning my basal needs are superior to the afternoon and night.
And, although I have been with her for two months, I'm not 100% convinced yet.
Regarding the Lantus, I improved that I noticed the peak of Lantus (I put it before bed and around 5 in the morning many days hypo) but in terms of duration of me the lantus covered me well at 24h.
And now with Toujeo the day well but it is true that some mornings I get up above the objective and I no longer know if it is a basal lack, the dinner or I know.
In the end it is to try and see at what time of the day we are doing better but I already say that for me it is not being easy.

If exactly the same thing is happening to me, I have been with her and try my glycemia, I am eating the same but applying double Humalog so as not to have those values from 200 up.
With Lantus that did not happen to me after eating, sometimes uploading to the 200 but went down at the time or two hours later.
With this remains high.
I will continue giving him a few more days but I return to Lantus.

Hi @joseludi is happening to me the same, he tells me how it is going if it improves or not.
I am also applying it at night and although I wake up well from values below 180 when breakfast shoots you do not see.
Example breakfast of bread with ham and cheese with value before eating in 138 shoots at 210 and that applies 3 from Humalog.
Something must not convince at the moment.
You will have to give chance a few days to see how it is going.
greetings
