If you ask that, I understand that you use insulin, and glycemia when going to bed is fine, but you get down during the night.Even so, I would have to have glycemia data before and 2h after dinner, nocturnal and in the morning.

I tell you only that, in my case, most of the hypoglycemia I prevent them from lowering the dose of insulin, and if the descent is when the fast insulin has no effect then the slow one would lower.Of course, I would continue with the analysis to see whether or not there is improvement.

But situations can be very varied and you have to count on the endocrine and specialist nurse.

Normally, if there are nocturnal hypoglycemia it is because there is excessive slow.
It also depends on the type of insulin.Better the flat.
The lantus is usually better to put it in the morning, if it produces nightlife.

In my case I had to adjust the slow down until I stop having dirty at night. If you do a great sport a day (or in the afternoon and you are not accustomed) that tb can affect you.

all the best

@"Byza And for the day are you okay? Don't you give you hypos? If so, you will have to take a yogurt or some fruit before going to sleep. You can also change the time of the slow one. Which one do you use? ToujeoAnd threeiba are flat, that is, they do not peak.

@biza If you do not use insulin for meals, you will always have to eat the same amount of hydrates at the same time to avoid hypos and hypers.

What kind of diabetes do you have?

@biza then, it is best to talk to your endocrine and prescribe quick insulin for meals. It will give you freedom and autonomy, and the most positive, good control of your glycemia.

Only with Lantus is an exclavitude, and it is not usual to produce hypos if you put it in the morning since it only lasts about 20 hours, its low action curve to that of 14 hours.
When I used it, I had a fixed diet and it was the first year that my pancreatic reserve was high, from the second year I quickly put me in each meal and the lantus in two shots to cover 24 hours. But he didn't give me hypos at night.

Well, if you don't lower you more than 50, it's not bad.You can go to bed with 120, 140 and wake up very well.
Or download a unit ...

@Aliciayleo

Well if you get around 120 when 1 U of basal is preferable to the risk of nocturnal hypo.Even if it seems a lot of difference and change for only 1 u.Try three days in a row.TB affects a lot of hormones and menstruation period.Another alternative is that you put the slow at night.

In any case, you cannot be every night breaking the dream to get up at 3. I think it is not highly recommended. As you use Abbott you can buy a Miao Miao 2. I think you can then put the mobile alarms. In the forum there are several issues that can help you and I think many have it that way.And that way you could sleep quieter

All the best

Hello. Thank you, my head doctor told me, but getting up with 120 it is more difficult for me to control it during the day.

@Aliciayleo I put the toujeo at night, it is quite flat, as it has no peak, does not hypoglycemia.
Do not break the dream.Lie in 140 or 150 and so you won't have hypo.
From 12 to 11 you do not notice differences, 32 or 31 cannot be so many differences, it will depend on what you have dinner that day more than the unit of difference.

At night, when I see that I am going to hyper, I have to be very careful, because 1 unit lowers me between 100 and 120, my ratio at night is 0.70 (and as I calculate badly, we already have the mess).I use the free with Miao, so that when there is a forecast in 40 minutes of hiccups, I wake up and take 1 cookie so as not to go down.I recommend it, more than anything, that if there is no hiccup, because you sleep quietly.

@Aliciayleo and have you checked in capillary that lowers you to 50 or do you trust? To me, at first it fails me a lot in the early morning and there is almost no night that I do not hit me a scare, then I look in capillary and maybe I am 115, when it puts me 65 .... I would lower me under my humble opinionThe slow 1 you, getting up at 120 is nothing ...
