700 glucose ... can you survive ???

In the tower! I never thought it was possible to reach those figures.Once my mother and I listen to 500 figures and we were surprised treated.

I once entered with almost 700 sugar, being a diabetic for years, 5 days in the UVI and almost a month in the plant, I was then 14 years old and 8 of diabetes ... The worst thing was what the endocrine told meMother was once in the plant, "if it takes longer to come, you could have been blind or died" such that, my mother broke down to cry ...

I have risen from 800. From a figure the machines do not show the sugar level (Hi) was in the emergency room without any symptoms (apart from drinking and urinating a lot).Of course, with those figures it is easy for something to happen.Even so, doctors fear more a hypoglycemia than hyperglycemia.

In a restaurant and after eating a flan, El Crio, about 11/12 years old, I fell round to the ground while their parents drink coffee.The next day, (we ate for work) the waiter told us that the boy had died because of the sugar as soon as he arrived at the hospital.798 I had at the time the ambulance arrived but ........ Cetona?other factors?Apparently the parents did not know that it could be diabetic.

(I debut with 680 finding me hydrated and in very bad health conditions; then I had a pharyigitis that helped the same).I entered, they treated me, family history ... many antecendents ... care, doctors, learning, tests, declared diabetic type 1 officially, stabilized and to life again.Until today).

Hello: the hyper are serious from 800-1000 and the tolerance depends and if you are in treatment with insulin and you do well the diet it is difficult to reach these values unless you skip 2 doses of insulin that is rare or that you do notbeing sinking insulin.I am afraid of the hypos that are sometimes inadvertent and more frequent and one day I almost died.I arrived at values of less than 10 and I almost stopped and entered into shock.

You are right, having high glucose for a long time can damage some organ, I am not a diabetic but I have a daughter who diagnosed her at age 4, today she is 14. Any emotion can make her a lotOr it goes down quickly, everything also depends on each person, not all people react the same.

Each body is different, and I have read here in the answers that many have had very high peaks and has not reached major problems or complications.But perhaps other people have not been so lucky.It's as a doctor told me once: "They can tell you that they have gone in a car without seat belt, that does not mean that it is well to walk without a belt."

According to what I have read, hyperglycemia above 250mg/dl causes ketoacidosis, due to fatty acid degradation (excessive blood acidification).This can progress rapidly without very high figures to a diabetic coma, which are potentially mortal.The most serious complications of the diabetic coma are permanent brain damage and death.
