Good, I will try not to expand much.

I have made a diet based on the food exchange system, in order to have a better control.Apart from the questions at the end of the post, because I also share the information in case someone is interested and wants to save the calculations.

I have seen in the ADM that they recommend distributing carbohydrates in this way:

--------------------------------
Breakfast: 15%
Mid -morning: 10%
Food: 40%
Snack: 10%
Dinner: 20%
Before bedtime: 5%
--------------------------------

It is a 2500 kcal diet based on 55% HC, 15% P and 30% G. Therefore, 340 grams of carbohydrates correspond daily, that is, 34 portions.Distributed according to the percentages from above stay in:

--------------------------------
Breakfast: 5 rations
Mid -morning: 3 rations
Food: 13 portions
Snack: 4 rations
Dinner: 7 portions
Before bedtime: 2 rations
--------------------------------

The questions are as follows:

- If, for example, in the middle of the morning as 3 portions, 100 blood glucose will rise to me and if I was 120, I will be until eating with 220. In the snack being 4, I would rise to me 130 approx. So if I had 120, after snack I will have 250 glucose and stay like this to dinner, in which case I would be decompensated because I would have to put insulin for dinner, and apart to correct that climb. This is normal?Works like this?Because theory I have not been wrong at all.Or do I also have to get fast in the mid -morning/snack/when bedtime?about 5 or 6 times a day?

- Those percentages have to be so strict?Because with 5 rations at breakfast I will go hungry, instead 13 for food it seems a bit tooIt is a fog that does not even fit on the plate.

At the moment those are xD thanks in advance!

I do not know what treatment you have, I suppose that lantus or less and an ultra -graph, in that case you will have to put insulin every time you eat carbohydrates.I have never followed a diet but having to eat the same rations of carbohydrates at each meal I think I would never fulfill it .....

I have never fulfilled it either, as long as the doctors asked me "how much insulin do you put?"I told them "because what eates depends."

There were days that it ate more and others that ate less, but I have been reading and apparently it is important to always eat at the same time and always the same amount of hydrates/insulin.Because depending on those alterations in the insulin pattern, it will have more or less effect and can cause hyperglycemia. And it's what I try to avoid ...

Use Levemir and Ultrarapida Humalog, the problem is that Levemir I don't see that I do anything except when I go to bed and get up, there I see the difference in glucose. But for example, the Levemir that I put in the morning, throughout the rest of the day I would not know that it is working because I practically do not lower my glucose "basically."Come on, as if I did not put it, nor do I notice its effects.

But even so it seems very rare to have to try ultrarapida 5 or 6 times a day, right?Won't it be advisable?

Yes, that of the 6 meals a day is no longer needed with the current slow insulins (lantus or less) because they have no peaks, so the mid -morning, the snack and the right, you can save them, not to bethat you need to eat something to not have hypos .. If the slow one is well regulated, with three meals a day it would have to be enough.

Sometimes it is good to take something before bedtime to prevent the hypos of the night ..

But the 6 meals a day is not because the slow ones had peaks and you need to correct them with meals between meals.

The 6 daily meals is a necessary health habit, both for diabetics and for non -diabetics.In addition, for example, I can't stand from 2 that about 10 that Ceno, and if you are going to be pecking ... you end up with hyperglycemia all day

Of course, then you have to get fast every time you eat hydrates ..

I now come from the endocrine with 6.7 glycosilada and asks me: insulin guideline? And my answer is always the same: "on demand."That is, nothing like measuring, knowing and counting hydrates. Each meal is a world and every day a universe.

I also make 5-6 meals a day and I do not put insulin every time I ... I only put on the three main meals. The truth that I also seem like many portions when it comes to food and dinner and fewAt breakfast.Haven't you wondered if you can lower the calories a bit?

Well, it's a diet that I have made, nobody has put it to me.And 2500 is not so much ... It is said that women need one of 2000 and men 2500. And I try to gain weight so it is not feasible. What I will do will be to remove a couple of rations from the food and put it in breakfast, but I would no longer keep the proportion that specialists recommend.I don't know, I'll consult it with the endocrine when I go

Not if the truth that 2500 are not many for a boy and more if what you want is to gain the only thing that many portions come out and how you say at meal time you have to eat a cow at least hehe so the only thing that the only thingWhat I see is that you get some more at breakfast and between hours, although you should really ask your endocrine :-) By the way if you do some exercise I suppose you know that you regulate your glucose a lot !!Greetings and I hope you give with the right calculation ;-)
