Vitamin D in diabetes

Docas's profile photo   01/26/2016 5:53 p.m.

It seems that there is a relationship between the vitamin D deficit and autoimmunity normally almost everyone who debuts with DM type 1 usually has it low at the time of diagnosis.
The autoimmune effect seems to increase the lower you and the risk of having more associated autoimmune (especially hypothyroidism but also others). When climbing, exogenous insulin resistance also decreases that we administer (that resistance also decreases with good glycemic control and by eating less carbohydrates, from their own experience I find it).
In the last one I was 27 so I am taking it and we will see in a few months it has increased.
The def of vit d, as is not extreme. It does not give symptoms and if the doctor does not ask specifically, it does not come out in a routine analytics.

As?????What penalizes?I am a family doctor and who knows, I do not penalize ... I do not know where you are but it would be more than penalized you for asking what you think you should ask and do your job !!, At least where I work is not.

Even if you do not believe it, there are in places that the more tests and more referrals to specialists, the less they receive from a complement, I do not remember the name they officially give it, unofficially it is what they call productivity ... that is, for them it isBetter the doctor who sends less although that is then worse in terms of health in their patients and money (by delaying the diagnosis it is always worse)

Well, to me the vitamin D flucuta. In winter, it lowers me, last week the doctor told me that she is a bit low, but as soon as she gives me the sun, she shoots, so as soon as she stops raining to put me in the sun like the lizards.
They don't send me any vitamin.

To my personally, I do not know other people, in Madrid I have not denied any evidence that was necessary or the public part of health (header and nurse) or the private, FJD.

There are a number of indicators that yes, derive by deriving no, and also other things. If what is productivity.Of course but based on asking vit d in the analytics ... we are in contact with many hospital doctors who treat osteoporosis etc and to those who by their advice, we analyze vit d so ... I do not know if it will penalize but certainly but of courseIn my health we all ask for it.

good afternoon,
In a my last analysis, quite low vitamin D values have appeared, which have to do with bone density.Because of this, the endocrine has sent me blisters of this vitamin until the little sun arrives and, with the help of it, restores normal values.
The endocrine blames him for the sun to give me little. But according to Leo, diabetics can be more prone to this lack of vitamin D and possible fractures, which was not very informed but that you can see in the following article:

Link

Does anyone have any experience related to this topic?

All the best
:) & GT;-

It happened to me the same but for the first time in my 28 years of diabetics.I was prescribed Deltius but in the root of this I began to investigate. Also since last summer I began to have atopic dermatitis and now he is improving.

I have also known as good sources that is being discovered that the vit D deficiency is related to greater propensity to autoimmune diseases.

Thanks for sharing your article

Hello everyone!!.
Vitamin D you can get through food. For example the mackerel, salmon, linen, avocado, egg yolk, ..... there are a lot of food.In the last review, the Endorcrino told me if I had given vitamin D supplements to my son Poruqe had very high vitamin D and said no.That was all a matter of food.On the Internet you can look for foods rich in this vitamin.Cheer up!!!

In food the amounts are very small, no matter how much you do not arrive if you do not expose anything to the sun.Surely your child is giving the sun and synthesizes it very well. With 20 minutes of sunny a day without cream it is usually enough to have good levels in summer and in winter the latitude where you live because in certain places you do not synthesize anything and in others yes.More eggs than me and I take 4000u supplements a day all year and still the last analysis after summer (which is supposed to be when it is higher) had it close to the low limit.Which is also not the optimal limits that put in analytics.
