The Bierzo Diabetics Association celebrates Women's Week in Sport

The Bierzo Diabetics Association (ADEBI) invites everyone who wishes to attend the Acts Hall of the House of Culture to the I Days of Women and Sports, which will take place on April 16 and 17 at 18 at 18: 00 hours.

These days will consist of informative talks about the sport and role of women in him.The presentations will have recognized athletes who will explain through their experiences and experience what it means to be a woman and practice sports at the professional level.These include Olga Núñez and Clara Núñez, two of the members of the Basketball Club 6’25;Pilar Cabarcos Diez, National Champion at the Spcial Olimps Idaho 2009;and the president of the Spanish Association for Sports with Diabetes (AEDD), Patricia González Alonso.

The high point of the week will be the “I night race for women in sport”, the sporting event suitable for all audiences that will take place on Saturday, April 18 at 9:00 p.m.It is a solidarity test with diabetes, in line with the sports activities that Adebi develops throughout the year, among which are the “walking with adebi” routes.For this occasion, he has had the invaluable collaboration of the Peña Ciclista Villanueva and the sponsorship of the illustrious Bercian journalist Luis del Olmo.The race will have a night tour with the sports facilities of the Flores del Sil Club and will pass through the different streets of the neighborhood.

As we anticipate on previous occasions, these events are encompassed within the Food and Sports Activities program promoted by the International Diabetes Federation (FID).Our intention is that this event becomes a sport party where solidarity and equality are combined and participates!! All against diabetes and their prevention!

ADEBI (Bierzo Diabetic Association) is an association created in the Bierzo to favor the integration of the diabetic people of Bierzo and Laciana.The Bierzo Diabetics Association is constituted in January 1969 in order to combine efforts that meet the improvement of the living conditions of people with diabetes of the Bierzo region, and achieve their full educational, labor and social integration.At present we are more than 112 partners, both diabetic and people who without suffering from any type of disability are willing to fight for a common cause such as the well -being of affected people.
