'Give a smile to a child with diabetes' is the public collection that will head on Friday, July 3 Francesca Cipriani, Miss Ecuador 2015 and María Emilia Cevallos, Miss Supranational Ecuador, for the benefit of the Fuvida Foundation.
The beauty queens accompanied by volunteers will be responsible for collecting donations that will serve to organize the sweet friends camp, for infants who have diabetes.This activity (the camp) takes place nationwide since 2003 in which campists from different provinces of the country participate.Children and young people attending these camps change their lifestyles and go attached to treatment, accepting the disease.
Currently, camps also serve as training for resident doctors, paramedic staff, medical students, nursing, psychology and physical education.The activity with patients allows interrelation between them, which results in a decrease in fears, positive exchanges of personal care and other attitudes that favor metabolic control and prognosis.
In Ecuador 1400 children were diagnosed with type 1 diabetes until 2013 and only for 2014 were recorded 854 according to MSP data.
The Miss Ecuador organization dashed this year, to help this cause of children with diabetes with the candidates and queens of this period.
