School of Mothers and Fathers of Children with Diabetes de Extremadura 2015

Next Saturday, June 6, the IX School of Mothers and Fathers with Diabetes organized by the Federation of Associations of Persons with Diabetes de Extremadura (Fadex) is celebrated at the Hotel Las Lomas de Mérida.This activity aims to respond to the need for mothers and fathers of children with diabetes, to form and achieve guidance for the management of their children's disease and thus increase the psychological well -being and quality of life of the whole family.

This year's program of Mothers and Fathers of Children with Diabetes includes the “Diabetes for Rations of Carbohyds”, “Diabetes and Exercise”, “Minimed 640g Systems: Let me act” and “The Child with Diabetes in Diabetes in Diabetesthe school ”.In addition, to close the day an informative meeting will be held with all the parents who are interested in the Summer Camp of Children with Diabetes that will take place in the Cortijo “Los Cotos” in Monesterio (Badajoz) from July 19 to 26.

In parallel to the School of Mothers and Fathers of Children with Diabetes, activities aimed at children between 4 and 12 years, in order to facilitate the assistance of the parents to the day, as well as to provide a space inthat children with diabetes can relate to each other and normalize the disease condition.

For the realization of this event FADEX has the collaboration of the Extremadura for Health Service, the Institute of Youth of Extremadura, Diabalance, Menarini Diagnostic, Medtronic and the Youth Association of Diabetics of Extremadura.
