Why can't type 1 diabetics donate blood?

Hello,

I am 15 years old, and diabetes since 11, I have well understood that diabetics of this type cannot donate, but I would like to know the reasons.

1.13 Sexual behavior: exclusion of people whose behavior is high risk of getting disease

Hi there.I will explain the reason why diabetics cannot donate blood.It is not that it is thought that diabetes is spread, or that our blood is of worse quality.It is because of the risk of hypoglycemia in the extraction of half a liter of blood.Blood donation is important, but never putting the donor at risk.

That is what the endocrine has always told me, we can donate, but of course a doctor has to authorize and being diabetics, none does it for fear of problems.
