Within the framework of World Diabetes Day, which is commemorated on November 14, hundreds of Salamanca have carried out a human chain to raise awareness of society about this disease.

Hundreds of Salamantinos have joined this Saturday to sympathize with all those who suffer diabetes.A human chain has left from the Plaza Mayor at 11:00 a.m. and has traveled numerous streets such as the Arc del Corrillo and Meléndez Street until you reach the house of the shells.From there, he has continued on Company Street until he reaches the University's facade, to reach Juan XXIII square along Calderón de la Barca Street.

After this, one of the participants in the chain, Casimiro Blanco, athlete with type 1 diabetes, will climb Ionimus, where he will pick up the hoop with a three -year -old girl with diabetes.

The objective of the same is to sensibly to society about type 1 and 2 diabetes disease. This proposal is included in a series of acts that will take place on November 14, the day world day is celebratedof diabetes.
