Gordo Casaretto received all the attention of diabetes

The artist Alejandro Romero, known as the "Gordo Casaretto", received all the attention that his diabetes case merits for the specialists of the Rebagliati welfare network, he clarified today.

Casaretto also received specialized care in his home through the Home Care Program (Padomi).The patient was visited in 29 opportunities to be treated in the specialties of neurology, cardiology, psychology, surgery, physical therapy and nursing.

EsSalud recalls that diabetes is a disease that, if not controlled properly, can bring serious complications, such as cerebral infarctions and infections that could end in amputations.

Therefore, it is recommended to all patients who suffer from paying attention to their diet and measure their blood glucose levels more frequently.

On Saturday 5 of this month, the artist entered the emergency service of the Rebagliati hospital for the complications of his illness, being stabilized by doctors and hospitalized in bed 105 to receive all the respective treatments.

However, the artist's relatives requested voluntary discharge to transfer him to another health center, despite the indications of the doctors who were treating him.

The afternoon of the last Friday Casaretto suffered the amputation of his right leg, due to a strong infection he presented, according to his wife, Patricia Tragodara.
