How many years can I operate myopia?

I am 18 years old and I am diabetic since the age of 6, and since the age of 12 I use glasses and I want to stop using them, I want to operate in my eyes but from how many years I can do it?

I think there are no years since you start the disease.They recommend the operation from the 18 years that it is when they say that the progression of myopia is stabilized.

When you go to a clinic to study the subject of the operation, they first do some very thorough studies to see if it is feasible to operate, if they do not see it, they tell you that they do not operate.

My husband did it with 27, now he has 45 and continues with a great vision.
My daughter is also put by my glasses on myopia, and already told her that as soon as she can operate.Assuming that diabetes does not influence the operation.Has anyone operated having diabetes?

@Rociollinares I operated with diabetes.I was diagnosed with diabetes in early 2001 and I operated in November 2002.
