The City Council will contribute help to the Diabetes Association

The City Council of La Laguna signed an agreement yesterday with the Association for Diabetes de Tenerife (ADT), a document in which the Municipal Corporation signs its commitment to social groups that operate and develop part of its activities in Aguere.

In this sense, the Laguito Mayor and the Councilor for Social Welfare of the Corporation, José Alberto Díaz and Flora Marrero, served as hosts with the representatives of ADT: his manager, Fran Darias, and his legal coach, Julián Antonio González,with the objective of proceeding to sign the agreement that will mean helping to the collective of 10,869.88 euros, according to the councilor at the end of the act.

The ADT project that subsidizes the City Council is called information and advice to people with diabetes and general population of the municipality of San Cristóbal de la Laguna, a plan that was very well valued by those responsible for the local corporation.

On this, José Alberto Díaz said that "the objective of this project is to help the people affected by this disease and their relatives by people specially formed in Diabetology, who will inform them about such important aspects such as food and education,In addition to offering talks, workshops and training days for affected and professionals, always with a preventive purpose. "

Both Díaz and Marrero received from those responsible for ADT the thanks for the help of the Consistory and the relationship they maintain and even proposed by González Hernández to initiate new works related to diabetes and the elderly.
