Specialists and patients on a day on diabetes prevention on the occasion of World Day

More than 200 people among patients and relatives have attended the forum of the days that the Virgen Macarena Hospital in Seville has organized in collaboration with the Federation of Diabetics Associations of Andalusia (FADA).

As reported by the Board in a note, it is a day between patients and specialists that takes place on the occasion of the celebration of World Diabetes Day on November 14.This year the International Federation of Diabetes (FID) launches its campaign under the motto 'Eye with diabetes'.

For eight years this federation has dedicated the campaign to commemorate this ephemeris to education and prevention in diabetes.

The day has been presented by the Director of the Comprehensive Diabetes Plan of Andalusia, María Asunción Martínez Brocca, and has had the participation of specialists such as Enrique Rodríguez de la Rua, head of the Intercentros Ophthalmology Unit of the Virgen Macarena and Virgen del HospitalRocío, who spoke about diabetic retinopathy;as well as the head of the Diabetes Day Hospital of the Virgen Macarena Hospital, Cristóbal Morales, who has talked about the management and control of diabetes, issues that focused the development of the meeting.
