The Jiménez Díaz Foundation University Hospital has awarded its 2016 Research Awards, in its two modalities of experimental and clinical research, to four thesis on proteomic and metabolomic studies, or experimental models, focused on cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and infectious.

In the category of clinical research, the thesis centered on the study of biofilms formed by mycobacteria, by María Carmen Muñoz Egea, has been distinguished.Regarding the works presented in this modality, Ayuso emphasizes that “they show a high clinical impact and have transfer possibilities.In fact, a diagnostic algorithm that can modify clinical practice has been defined. ”
