Puebla occupies the first place in the country with better results in the quality of diabetes quality index in Mexico (ICAD), because according to the ranking applied at the federal level, the entity's qualification is 72.4, while the national averageis 60.88.

The updated report until January 2017, presented by the Mexican Observatory of Non -Transmissible Diseases (OMENT), qualifies the retention of the diabetic patient, so that they give 20 percent of the evaluation, effective consultation (50 percent) and the impactin health (30 percent).

The first evaluation point has the purpose of knowing if the patient with diabetes regularly goes to his appointments to the health center.The second has to do with the quality of care in each consultation to the user.While the impact on health express whether the condition is controlled or not.

In detail, it refers that Puebla, in the patient withholding evaluation with diabetes reached 18.5 points of 20, which translates into compliance with the item.In the case of effective consultation, it met 36.8 of 50 points, which translates into 73.6 percent of the total and the impact of health reached 17.1 percent of 30 points, that is, it only complied with 57 percent.

The average at the national level is 60.9.According to the qualification disaggregated by component, it details that the retention of the patient with diabetes is 11.3 of 20 points, which translates into a compliance of 56.5 percent.In the case of the effective consultation, it reached 35.7 of 50 points, that is to say that it covered 71.4 percent of the total, while in the impact on health it reached 13.9 of 30 points (46.3 percent).

The same assessment states that in the ranking of sanitary jurisdictions for better performance - in this same item -, six out of a total of 10 with optimal results correspond to the state of Puebla and, in that order, with the largest ICAD, they are Tepexi de RodríguezWith 80.1, Acatlán with 76.4, San Salvador El Seco with 75.7, Tehuacán with 75.3, Chignahuapan with 75.2 and Puebla with 74.4.

After Puebla, the entities that obtained a better result were Nayarit with 68.3, Guanajuato with 67.7, Nuevo León with 67.1, Sinaloa with 65.6, Jalisco with 65.2, Hidalgo with 64.2, Tabasco with 63.9, Baja California Sur with 63.8 and Tamaulipas with 63.7.

While those who had worse results were Baja California with 55.5, Oaxaca with 55.3, Guerrero with 54.9, Sonora with 54.6 and Yucatan with 52.9.
