The Spanish Diabetes Society (SED), together with Astrazeneca, has presented the 'best communications in diabetes and obesity' awards during the XXVII National Congress, held in Bilbao.
The initiative consists of five 'Publi-Becas' in the field of research and prevention of heart disease, high prevalence in Spain.
As noted by the president of SED, Dr. Edelmiro Menéndez, during the delivery ceremony, the purpose of this call "is to promote new practices to implement in the care of all those affected by diabetes or obesity, opening and developing newResearch routes that seek the improvement of the quality of life of these people. "
The 'publii-becas', granted by a committee formed by thirst experts, have fallen to:
- Amanda Jiménez Pineda for the project 'Effects of obesity on Alzheimer's disease and cognitive deterioration'.
- Roberto Sierra Poyatos for 'group therapy in the approach to metabolic syndrome'.
- Javier García Soidán thanks to the work on 'Anthropometric measures of obesity in the Spanish elders.Estudio Escar '.
- Inés Vargas Ortega for 'Combined use of LPG1 + SLGT2'.
- Marbella Piñera Tames with 'Hyperuricemia and insulinators'.
