Basque researchers design a ball to control diabetes

The device, baptized S-There, has been the winner of the Idea 2 Prize contest.Placed in the toilet, measures the glucose data and controls the medication intake of the diabetic patient.

A group of young Basque researchers has designed a medical device in the form of a small ball, which allows you to control different parameters of diabetics.Placed in the toilet, in the patient's own home, and through internal sensors, measures glucose levels and detects failures in taking the prescribed medication.

S-THER, has been the winner of the Idea 2 Prize contest, in the competition organized by the Massachusetts Institute (MIT) and Harvard University held last weekend in Bilbao.

The project has been included directly in the project accelerator of the Massachusetts-Mit Technology Institute, which implies that the S-Sthere team will travel to Boston where you can use the latest technology worldwide developed by MITprototype.
