Hello!
My case is that I have altered the sensitivity in an area of the back and below the chest that I do not have in the rest of the body, the rubbing of the underwear is annoying, it is like when one burns taking the sun.
I thought it could be due to a contracture that I have quite great in the rhomboid or that I had some vertebra pinzing my nerve but as the weeks went by (almost a month) and I did not happen I told my endocrine and without looking at me or anything told mewhich was diabetic neuropathy for the years of evolution (24 years) and prescribed me gabapentina.
The thing is that I am not sure that my problem is that, for what I have read, it is usually given in the limbs and it is not the case, anyway it is a little scary to medicate without a neurologist, a neurologist,I am a little worried.
Has anyone ever happened to you and if it has to do with sugar?

Well if during these years you have had good diabetes control should not because neuropathy appears.Before alarming more than you are.It is necessary to differentiate pain or discomfort due to contracture or radiation due to insensitivity tendonitis.Also say that contractures, pinching, tendonitis, etc. do not cure alone.Before taking anything, try to do some more conclusive or muscular or nervous test and do not let them diagnose it to the easy "that is for diabetes" because it probably has nothing to do.

Diagnosticada de DM en enero de 2019, con tres generaciones (yo sería la cuarta) de diabéticos tipo 1 en la familia
En principio DM2 por resistencia a la insulina asociada a SOP (sin tener en cuenta los antecedentes familiares)
De momento, solo con Forxiga y Rybelsus (7mg) por la mañana
La glucosa hace lo que le da la gana
Ultimas Hemos: 7,2 (26/12/2023); 6,7 (12/2/2023, al mes de empezar con Rybelsus 3mg)

Hello, last summer I was diagnosed with mild neuropathy without any medication for being mild and practically asymptomatic.But the truth is that for weeks I have involuntary movements in different parts of the body when I am at rest for example in the wrist, knee, a foot, head ... like this on several occasions but it always happens at rest.Has anyone happened to him?
