Diabetes for those who do not have treatment.

I would like to open a thread for all those in a situation similar to mine, that we can share all kinds of information.I have no treatment, I control the situation with diet and exercise and I would like to talk about these issues with people who are the same as me, I see that what is related to these things is usually quite focused on people who have insulin or who have oral treatment andI can't feel very identified with those situations.

I have been very irregular for a few months in every way, both food and sport, I have had changes in my life lately and I have left these issues, I also took weight, I have gone from measuring glucose levels ...

And well, after so much excess, I wanted to return to my normal life, to the diet, to do daily exercise ... but I have realized that I have very high glucose after the breakfasts.More or less the levels before meals usually vary between 100-120, those of after eating although sometimes they rise a little above 150, I try to keep them below 150 and well, it seems that if I do not happen and watch what Ithat as I get it.The problem comes with breakfasts, these days I am above 200, I have even reached 280 two hours after breakfast.I have headaches lately, I don't know if you owe this mismatch that I have or to the heats, I have recently moved to an interior city and the heat is also greatly affecting me.Are you starting to worry a lot, I suppose it would be time to get ahead and go to the doctor and tell him that issue?Or do I try to channel the issue of the diet and exercise a bit and if it continues to go to comment?I am also removing breakfast things or reducing amounts to see if it is something that I am taking that I am not doing well.Tomorrow I reduce amount of bread, I will remove the half -nacked milk, to see if that is.

Anyway, I would like to start the subject knowing what a person who is more or less in the same situation as me and already about the rest we can share suggestions, experiences, etc.I hope there is more like me and you can throw a handle.

@Nila if you are having glycemias of 280 you are already going to the doctor to do an analytics and a peptide test, because if you already have those glycemia more to need anything else than not eat and exercise

Hi @nila I am more or less like you.My diagnosis is not yet clear, and my treatment was to change food inhabitants. Now I am pregnant, and in some moments I had to put insulin, but currently not even that, and I am with very good figures.

The first thing is that breakfast is always complicated. In the morning there is more insulin resistance, and posts are usually more hunchback to control. My solution has been to try different breakfasts, until I said with which I was doing well.In my case, breakfast a roasted of whole wheat bread with butter and jugus without sugar, and a coffee with milk but with diabalance milk, which has the glycemic load much lower. The rest of the day, I already took normal milk.

Now because of pregnancy, I am measuring the post per hour, and with this breakfast I am about 110-120 ... Now, each one is a world, and you will have to try.

In case it serves you, at breakfast I try apart from diabalance milk ... oat bread that also rises very little glycemia.Fruits or cookies (even without sugar), they were fatal to me.And fatal cereals of the fatal ones even if they were with a lot of fiber.

Anyway, I agree with @luvi, you should make you even an analytical, to see that, and especially glycosilada, which is what will tell you whether to add treatment or not.Because the truth is that 280 at 2 h is upper ... I have had a maximum of 180 but at the time.My glycosilada has never gone from 6%

Whatever you see, and what I can give you a hand;)

Thank you.Today I have reduced the amount of bread in half, I was buying the integral bread of the Mercadona of those who sell in bulk and as they are small that ate me.Today I have eaten half and at 2 hours I was in 168 (the doctor told me that I had to be in 150 at most, but we are glad of that measure, because it is not 200).Today I got up with 126, so I see it pretty good and I think it could be from bread. From next week that I will buy bread again in a bakery that eating more or the same has never uploaded that bestiality.Diabetes caught me soon, last year, the previous year I had the right values and when they took it, eating with excesses what I wanted and without moving much, I had no such high values.I do not think that for a few months of lack of control I had the thing like that, I hope ... the last analytics was in February and it was fine, the next I have it in September, so I'm going to wait because they will not give meGlyc's well values, which will surely have uploaded something, to see if now straightening.

I will see that milk that you say and I did not know that breakfast had more problems for insulin resistance.Yesterday afternoon I eaten bread of the same type, one whole instead of the middle and yes it had the glucose at two hours much higher, it did not reach 200. It really, namely that they throw this type ofPan, what barbarity to be like that, is that the weekend I was wedding, on birthday Sunday, I ate what I wanted, I did not take values on Saturday, but yes on Sunday and even for that it came to that and well that II exceeded.Shame should give them that this is whole wheat bread, surely integral has the name and now.

Anyway, thank you very much, I will see that milk that you say because it interests me, if the same is going well for the skim milk (this week I took semi because I am not at home and it is the one there is and I have not bought, butIf I do better that you say than the skimmed that I usually take, I will replace it).

@Nila, don't you take anything at all?I mean metformin. It is that if you have a diagnosis of diabetes, it is uncommon for me to regulate the levels only.

At breakfast we all have peaks, more or less high, the important thing is that at two hours you are in the threshold that the specialist told you.A 280 peak paints diabetes with treatment, not just diet and exercise.

Well, when I went to the doctor in February I was not like that. What happens is that I do not know at what time I am like this. Now I have passed the food today and it is also quite high.I will try how to correct this month and a half that I have left and in September make the analytics and since they tell me about that. The truth is that in February as I say it was very good, the analytics was great, the doctor congratulated me and controlled without pills or anything but now I go out of hand.

You are not leaving your hands, it is that your pancreas is spending and what before with diet and exercise could be achieved, now not, it needs help.Surely they put you a pill in September and you will return to acceptable values within your diet and daily exercise.
