More than fifty diabetic children participate in the camps organized by the Association of People with Balearic Diabetes (ADIBA), in close collaboration with expert health professionals.

Its main objective is to help children and adolescents correctly manage their diabetes, in a playful and coexistence environment.

To the camp they attend kids of different ages and, according to their needs, activities adapted to each stage are carried out: from children who will learn to prick the insulin to young people who will determine the dose of insulin according to the physical activity to be performed.
Will aspects related to food, self -analysis, responses to a drastic rise or decrease in sugar level be worked on?And, as a novelty, this year, emotional health workshops will be included.

It is definitely about working all those aspects, tools and resources that help them with the best control of their diabetes, which will enhance their autonomy, their safety and their confidence in any situation.

All this in a playful framework in which they are going to live their diabetes normally, living with colleagues with whom to share experiences, while enjoying a few days of full fun as it corresponds to any kid of their age.
