Five months seen for the fourth edition of Diabetes Experience Day we tell you that one of the main novelties of this year will be the Experience Day Teens diabetes, designed for adolescents.An event that will take place on the same day of Diabetes Experience Day, on February 18, 2017, in parallel, as in other editions to the activities of children and adults, and that will have their own identity.
There are many kids between 12 and 17 who come every year to Experience Day diabetes and to date they did not find their place.Adolescents with diabetes who opted to participate in the children's event, Diabetes Experience Day Kids, or in the elderly, but what about mine?
Well this year yes.Throughout the day, in three sessions, from 9:30 to 11:00, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 17:30 adolescents will be in a room listening, participating and activating.
Experience Day Teens diabetes is raised as a participation workshop, where to listen to adolescents, accompany them and unleash their creativity and version of their reality.The debate, music or art will be some of the contents of the new event framed in Diabetes Experience Day.An opportunity to meet other young people with diabetes, their concerns and desires.
First level professionals in the world of psychology, diabetes education or medicine will participate in Diabetes Experience Teens.As well as testimonies of people with diabetes who were teenagers and who surely have a lot to share with them.
Experience Day Teens diabetes arises from the need for teenagers with diabetes to express themselves, make themselves heard and raise their voice.We want to listen to them and tell us how their day to day and that we can improve for them.
