PERFERCATION TO CAP

In the case of a healthy population in which the results are within the established parameters or that the user is considered in a period prior to the appearance of diabetes in which no more symptoms occur than high glucose levels -Prediabetic--, pharmacists will offer prevention guidelines and monitor.

If the user has a high risk of suffering the disease, he will also refer to his Primary Care Center (CAP) with a letter in which the results of the tests will record, so that his reference health professional performs an assessment.

Participants will receive prevention tips, such as following a Mediterranean diet, perform between three and four meals per day, use healthy and varied cooking methods-vapor, iron, oven and stew-, perform a minimum of 30 minutes of physical activityweekly and sleep between seven and nine hours.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is associated with lower life expectancy and the appearance of disorders related to metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular diseases, and late detection worsens health, added to the representative of Aificc Esther Giménez.

Once the initiative is over, the organizers have the objective of incorporating this intervention protocol as a usual pharmacy practice.
