Andalusia claims compliance with the diabetes plan

The Comprehensive Diabetes Plan was reviewed a few months ago and now the United Association for San Fernando Diabetes takes a motion to full, through the Andalusian municipal group, to urge the Andalusian Board to comply with it in its integrity.

Among the measures requested is the creation of a diabetic foot treatment unit in each province or existence in all hospitals of a diabetic attention unit.

"We want to show our sensitivity with these people and with this proposal we collect the concern of the association that from birth works in the awareness of society about this disease, on which more education and real knowledge of the reality that must faceInsulin -dependent people, "explains the Andalusian councilor Fran Romero.

The group echoes the fears of the group that the Ministry of Health does not address the measures collected by the document, since very few of the actions provided in the previous one were finally developed.

The Federation of Diabetics Associations of Andalusia also defends the need to influence prevention and promotion programs in primary care schools and centers.
