The Spanish Diabetes Federation (FEDE) has launched the III edition of the Fede Awards, some awards that seek to value the projects carried out by these organizations, members of the Federation, and that have been carried out between January 1,2016 and August 31, 2017.

The objective of these awards, which will be delivered in an act that will take place in the fourth quarter of 2017, is to recognize the activities and projects aimed at offering quality services to patients with diabetes and their relatives, as well as improving their quality and conditions oflife.

In this edition, in addition, taking into account how necessary it is for the group of people with diabetes to take care of their cardiovascular health, it has been decided to give priority to those initiatives related to the prevention of the risks of heart disease in diabetes.

As in previous years, the awards to which associations can opt for in 4 categories: health and quality of life;Sport and physical activity;Adhesion and new technologies and innovation programs.

In addition, and for the first time, this edition will include a new award under the epigraph of “honorary mention”, at the proposal of the jury, which will be destined for a natural person and / or legal entity of renowned prestige, which will be taken inIt tells his career, commitment and involvement with the group of people with diabetes or for their support for initiatives that have collaborated in the fight against diabetes.

At the first four categories, all those entities and organizations members of Fede may present candidacy.The initiatives will have to be presented in electronic format and must be sent from March 1 to August 31, 2017.
