The Mapoma Dona Association 3,750 euros to the Diabetes Foundation to finance sports projects.

The Mapoma Sports Association has donated 3,750 euros to the Diabetes Foundation, as a result of the collaboration between both entities for the promotion of volunteering in the organization of events related to the world of 'running' in particular and sports in general, andthat will be used for projects from the foundation aimed at promoting physical activity among people with diabetes.

One of these projects is the campaign 'challenges diabetes', a awareness initiative to launch three sports challenges, with the aim of pretending to change the mentality of people with this disease, instilling in them the need to incorporate physical activity intoYour daily routine and improve your eating habits, two fundamental aspects to help control type 1 and 2 diabetes and reduce possible complications.

In addition to this project, the Diabetes Foundation actively supported the organization of the 'EDP Rock' N 'Roll' Marathon, through a group of 28 volunteers formed by 'Friends of the Foundation' and employees of Novo Nordisk, who collaborate indifferent projects through its 'Take-action' program of volunteering.

As for the donation, this has been carried out last Sunday, May 14 at the end of the 38th Water race, organized by the Canal Sports Club under the technical direction of Mapoma.
