Through the Provincial Program Cuidate Chami, the Ministry of Health of the province delivered 55 medical equipment for the monitoring of patients with diabetes and hypertension yesterday.Tablets contain application devices or prioritized care lines of these pathologies.

After the delivery, training was carried out on how to use the application software and today a meeting will be held with nurses and health agents, which will work on the field.

The delivery was made in the yellow room of the Government House and coincided with World Hypertension Day, which was held yesterday with the purpose of promoting awareness and efforts to prevent, diagnose and control arterial hypertension, a condition that constitutesThe main risk factor for cardiovascular diseases.

In Corrientes, the Cuidate Chamigo program aims to reach people, home by house, seeking to detect noncommissible pathologies, such as diabetes and hypertension, among others.

The software installed on the tablets records patients after the health agents went to the search for diabetics and hypertensive, to nominate them, georeference them, and from there leave with a database to later monitor and treatment avoiding the complications of bothDiseases that are expensive for public fields.

The program coordinator, Mario Rodríguez, explained that the initiative “is something innovative that was achieved together with the Institute of Clinical and Health Health, which is dedicated to research in Buenos Aires that works at the University of Harvad de Massachusetts inA mobile health system, which sends reminder and educational messages to patient cell phones, and reports to the doctor ”.

He stressed that “Corrientes is one of the first provinces that have this system in relation to diabetes and hypertension.Non -transmissible chronic diseases take 80% of deaths globally. ”He added that "both diseases have a prevalence of almost 10%: two people are a carrier of the disease and one does not know."

This patient monitoring project with diabetes hypertension is implemented to the trial in five health centers in the capital and three, in the interior.

Minister Cardozo indicated that the proposal is aspired to reach the entire province."There is political will of the Ministry of Public Health to do so," said the official and stressed that "the results are in sight, the effectiveness of this strategy is evidenced."
