Patients over 80 years of age can present up to more than eight chronic diseases due to the increase in life expectancy in recent years.According to a study by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), people with heart failure, stroke, diabetes and dementia that have more than three chronic diseases represent 74, 62, 47 and 64 percent of patients in patients inthe respective diseases.

Moreover, these pathologies only occur uniquely in very few cases: three percent in heart failure, five percent in dementia, 6 percent in stroke, 7 percent in atrial fibrillation, nine percentIn ischemic heart disease, 14 percent in diabetes and 18 percent in COPD.
