Carles Aguilar, 48h running for diabetes in Formentera

Next September the radio journalist and athlete Carles Aguilar will travel to the island of fomentier to run, for a maximum of 48 hours, the entire extension of the island to try to make the maximum possible number of kilometers.

He will do so with the aim of sensitizing society about the prevention, diagnosis and control of diabetes.

Although the initial idea was to start running at the moment to leave from the port of Barcelona on the ship's deck, that option has been dismissed due to structural inconveniences.

Carles Aguilar has already carried out other important sports challenges in previous years.One of them was in Soria with Templars Xtrem Trail, running 190 kilometers in 3 stages and 3,500 m of slope for mucopolysacaridosis.Another was crossing the desert of the Monegros (Huesca) for 120 kilometers for mental health or touring the entire Catalan coast from Port Bou to reach for six days and more than 400 km by cerebral palsy.
