I have been with type I diabetes without complications or losses of consciousness (except a very at the beginning).
I do not know if the issue of smartphones and their configuration have been touched to inform emergency services.
Today we all have one and it can be a very good tool for us to configure it to inform them, since they will not be able to access any information if it is blocked.
In Android it is done as follows:
Settings-& GT; Block screen-& GT; Show information-& GT; Owner information.There you can write what you estimate timely.
In my case, I have put my name with two surnames, I am type I diabetic and a warning phone (of a relative).
