The Virgen Macarena Hospital, national champion against diabetes

The Virgen Macarena University Hospital is in luck.

The doctors of this center belonging to the Internal Medicine Service were proclaimed winners of the second edition of the Diabetes League, which was held in Burgos on the occasion of the XXXIX Congress of the Spanish Society of Internal Medicine (SEMI).

The Diabetic Macarena team, composed of doctors Rocío Ruiz, José Antonio Girón, David León and Salvador Pérez, won this clinical cases competition in which 29 teams from different Spanish provinces participated.

The Hispanic team attributes its victory "to teamwork and the importance with handling diabetes in the Macareno Hospital."
