More than 252,000 people received diabetes training

The Health Corporation in Aragua, Corposalud, announced that during 2017 it achieved the training of 252,019 citizens in diabetes prevention, through the promotion of healthy lifestyles.This was stated by Juan Dávila, sector secretary of health of the entity.

He pointed out that this formation is due to the strategies contemplated in the Corposalud endocrine endocrine program, and that it has been strengthened by the government that has given a reimpulso to all health programs with the purpose of promoting good health habits thatThey prevent the population from getting sick.

He stressed that last year 61,250 diabetes smear tests were performed on high risk, responding to patients who merited a diagnosis and evaluation in order to incorporate them into the Diabetes Control Program.

Diabetic foot control

The Secretary of Health indicated that it was avoided that 99.6% of people with diabetic foot were amputated, with the application of the Heberprot P drug that efficiently treats the ulcer in the foot, caused by diabetes.In total, 1,476 patients were treated, who were saved their lower limb, contributing to the well -being of people.
