Elevise Diabetes Care has shown the six projects that will advance to the Phase of Finalists of the Even Diabetes Challenge, a competition on global innovation that seeks digital solutions to support the treatment of type 2 diabetes.

The six finalists were selected from 116 presentations that were received and were chosen by a panel formed by external experts and members of the medical, R&D and commercial teams.

The companies chosen will present their solutions in the finalist event in April to determine the winner, which will be announced later in the 78 scientific session of the American Diabetes Association in June.

With type 2 diabetes currently assuming around 90% of the 425 million people with diabetes globally [1], innovative ways of managing this condition are required to cover the substantial and growing load for people and our health systems.Through this challenge, Elevise seeks to support companies and entrepreneurs who develop the next leap forward in digital solutions that could facilitate the treatment of type 2 diabetes and improve the lives of people with diabetes.

This global challenge attracted high -caliber projects in North America, Asia and Europe, representing some of the latest technologies and innovative thinking in the field of treatment of type 2 diabetes. After much deliberation by the Judges Panel, the following finalists were chosen:

- Foodient by whisk: a digital dietitian driven by artificial intelligence that connects people with the retail retail leaders in the world.They are developing to help patients with type 2 diabetes to easily find foods that they like and adapt nutritionally, so that they can make sustainable behavior changes. - Glycoleap By Holmusk: a digital health program that is a simpler way to lose weight and reduce A1C.It combines expert human advice with mobile technology to empower people with type 2 diabetes to live a healthier life.Glycoleap is driven by a scalable, implicating and effective technology platform for personalized and promoted health advice. - Qstream: A mobile game based on equipment developed in the Harvard Medical School that can promote prominent behavior in people suffering from type 2 diabetes. It has been shown that Qstream generates outstanding and sustained improvements in the control of blood glucosepatients who use it. Link

- My Diabetes Coach By Macadamian: A Diabetes treatment platform based on voice that Alexa de Amazon uses to help people with type 2 diabetes manage their treatment.The data captured through an integrated peaceful device, a mobile phone and a dialogue with the patient offer a personal and empathic advice experience that is activated through artificial intelligence. - Path Feel by Walk with Path: an active template that offers vibrational or haptic opinions for the user while walking.This can help people with diabetic neuropathy to feel thebase and achieve balance.Path Feel is a digital solution connected and integrates data from the template, which can be used to customize and improve care. - Xbird: The medical artificial intelligence software that analyzes micro-movations, collected by smartphones and wearables that people with diabetes carry, and crossing references with the historical data of blood glucose to predict and detect possible hypoglycemic or hyperglycemic events.The solution creates visions that can be operated for doctors and patients. The six finalists will receive a cash prize of 10,000 euros to support the development of their ideas.After delivering the awards to the winners, the finalists will receive part of the total award of the 200,000 euros award, with the opportunity to associate with Evenia Diabetes Care.
