The Spanish Diabetes Society (SED) and the SED Foundation have summoned a new edition of the Children's Culinary Recipes Contest and Drawings 'Living with Diabetes'.

The contest, which has the collaboration of Sanofi, aims to publicize the existence of children's diabetes and their needs through first -person experiences.

As for the slope of the kitchen recipes of the contest, aimed at children between the range of 10 years at 16, they must transmit the importance of maintaining a healthy diet.

You must contain the explanation of your favorite recipe, a photograph of the dish cooked by themselves and a justification for why you have chosen it and is good for diabetes.To participate, the child or adolescent resides in Spain is required and has some relationship with diabetes, whether he himself, a patient, a relative or a friend.

For its part, the drawing contest is open for children under 10, also residents in Spain and in relation to diabetes.The work must transmit some experience related to diabetes and what it means living with this disease.

The jury, appointed by the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, will select the 15 best works presented for each of the slopes of the contest.

The failure, unappealable, will be communicated to the winners a week before the awards ceremony, which will be held on November 10 with an eye on the 14th of the same month, World Diabetes Day.The award provides for a 'tablet' and the deadline for sending works ends on October 15.
