Cramps

AntoSc1607's profile photo   02/01/2019 6:49 p.m.

Hello!

I have DBT1 and approximately a month ago I have been cramping in the twins while sleeping recurrently, which had never happened to me before.

Does anyone know if this can be related in some way to diabetes?

Thank you so much!

How are those controls? Are there high recurring levels?

@Antosc1607 could be any muscle overload but the cramps in the twins are usually related to the lack of potassium, make an analytical one just in case.-

@Antosc1607 I also have many cramps, but I can't tell you if they are related to diabetes ..... I have them of a lifetime together with sugar.

They could be so many things, such as low muscle cramps, potassium or magnesium or diabetic neuropathy or sleep disorders such as restless legs syndrome, etc.It is best to talk to the doctor

Let's see my endocrine has detected a possible diabetic neuropathy on my legs since I grab my pantorillas when climbing slopes, carrying weight .... for walking. That is why he has sent me a test here where I live in Madrid that they already did more than 20 years ago when I lived in Paris. What happens is that a diabetic neuropathy in the legs is usually associated with the hand that is also given to you.I do not know if it will be your case, the best thing without a doubt is that you tell your endocrine in your next review.

It can be neuropathy or the beginning of a neuropathy. This is very common in diabetics.I use a equipment called Rebuilder, sends me a frequency or electricity and helps me reduce the pain and cramps.I bought it in the United States.

Hydrate well that dry muscles have a tendency to contracture. On the other hand, if the problems are only in the legs, there are possibilities that it is a side effect of the statins, if you are taking them.I tried 4 molecules until I found one with which I can walk if seeing the stars.

Well, the cramps also affect me, every night, on the morning, I have to jump out of bed and walk barefoot so that they pass, what they hurt is horrible, my endocrine says that it is neuropathy, but I do not believe it, because I am not antechor or sleep my legs, I have a good control of glycosiladcholesterol

Correct, but TB can be due to atorvastatin, the secondary efexts that you have, ask your doctor or endocrine for pivastatin is terrible, it is recommended for diabetics, atorvastatin can cause diabetes and can alter the glycemic values

I have been diagnosed for 3 months as DBT1 and I also happened to me ... I told my endocrine and told me to take magnesium.I did that, I took 2 tablets (1 daily pill in the morning) and for the moment they have not repeated me again. Now I will rest for a month (as the pharmacist told me) and start again .... it is seen that we decompensated us.

A good source of magnesium is black chocolate above 70% cocoa.I take two ounces of 85% cocoa after eating. It does not reach half a ration of HC.

Good morning, I'm German and I have registered in this forum because I have the same problem and I think I can audo you.
It happens to me when the glucose levels I have high and the quantity of fast insulin to lower them.
I asked the specialist and he told me that when the insulin level is high uncontrolled potassium levels and that is what causes the cramp.
This is what happens to me and does not have to be the same as yours.
I hope I have a little oriented.
Greetings.
