Student Student in Spain

Hello, I am new in the forum, type 1 diabetics.
I am about to arrive in Spain for studies, I travel from Argentina.
I have time reading the forum and I understand that all diabetes treatment is done through Social Security.
Here in Argentina, the treatment of diabetes is free, for Argentines and foreigners, however, I see that I will need to be registered in Social Security.
My question is whether the students can register in the SS ?I understand that it is a benefit for workers, and I would like to know if there is any exception that does not know.
I plan to carry as many supplies as possible, but I would love to have access to the entire health system, not only the half -service that student insurance offers me.

@A_Moreno, welcome to Spain.I have no idea how students insurance works, I don't know if it gives you option to private medicine.But to carry your diabetes everyone recommends the excellent public health system.
