Each person is a world and has a different metabolism and insulin behaves differently in each person. It is never very much or little, if you do well, it's perfect.
The problem of large doses of insulin is that the more insulin you handle the more possibilities there are hypoglycemia or a bad calculation.
If you really would like to try to improve your insulin resistance and lower the units that you use the only way is low hydrates diets, daily physical exercise and be in your ideal weight. It also remembers rotating in the injection sites and changing the needle every time you use it because the famous lipodystrophies also worsen the absorption of insulin.
