I am 21 years old,

Well just like 2 years ago I started with the symptoms, thirst and urination, nothing more, after a few months, they increased even more, and hunger began, not so much, but if I felt more appetite than normal, I have alwaysI have been very skinny and I admit that in my childhood and adolescence, I do not feed myself well, I did not ate much, and it did not take much importance.

Well, I started hunger, so I worried more, they prescribed some pills, at the same time the symptoms began to lower a little, but I ate too much and did not get anything weight, my sugar levels began to fall too, (I took too much cocatail, which does not do much before,).

But Djae new I consumed it again and my sugar came up again, I got used to living with those symptoms.I was eating too much as for a year and nothing that went up.

A few months ago I stopped eating a lot, about 2 meals a day or 3 rarely.I was hungry, but I thought it should be, that if it a bit too, even if it could not fill me, it could be bad.Well, 1 month ago, woke up at 3 am, something tired, agitated, and vomited, I would sleep again, and at 6 am, I started feeling more tired, too agitated, I could not sleep, like at 9 am andI couldn't get out of bed, I could no longer breathe, I had as a tachycardia, in short a lot of roll to go to the doctor etc.In the end they ended up entering 1pm.

I went out the next morning and what they told me, was that I was apinto of a diabetic coma, that the pills were making my blood acid, that's why oxygen did not get to my blood and that's why I couldn't breathe, what I hadType 1 Youth Diabetes, my pancreas did not produce any insulin, so they prescribed one, which comes with preloaded injection, and then all good so far, but again, I fed more again, since it is dangerous to go hungry inThese cases, but I still don't climb anything, it seems that the more like the most skinny I put on, when they entered me, I weighed and it was around 45 kg.

My question is whether someone from my own experience, of any acquaintance or information, can I tell me what can I do to gain weight?

Thank you!

Don't even think about weight. That will come to you with age.If there is something devastating for a diabetic it is to climb kilos. You are skinny, in a few years you will be in your weight and then you will begin to fight the weight.Leave things as they are, you just need and you will have a prosperous life.

The ideal would be that you speak with your endocrine and who sends you to an expert in nutrition. It would come well to check that you have no thyroid or metabolism problem.

I do not know how many rations of carbohydrates take up, but you are very young and you have to take many more rations that for example.Carbohydrates that are not spent at the time accumulate in the form of fat.And that will make you gain weight. They are your reservations for crisis cases. But do not abuse white bread or juices.Try to take many vegetables, fruit, whole wheat bread, integral rice. You can also increase the intake of non -saturated fats (eat sardines, salmon, nuts, ...).And of course proteins (eggs, turkey, chicken, ...).The more varied commas the better. But in your case you have to eat in abundance.

You will tell us

all the best

Do not waste time to go to a nutrition specialist.

The more knowledge you have better, it is not just about avoiding eating certain foods but knowing when taking them and knowing how your body reacts.

When you learn to eat, your weight will normalize.Right now you should focus on controlling your diabetes since while you are uncontrolled it will be very difficult to modify your body weight.

Do you put fast insulin before meals?
Do you have good glycosylated control?
If you can get good control, you will gain weight because you will metabolize all the carbohydrates you eat.
But if you don't get enough nsulina to be controlled, you can't metabolize what you eat.
