Interactive online game to learn about diabetes

Diabegame is an interactive online game totally free to help patients with type 1 diabetes to update their knowledge about the disease in a different, pleasant and fun way.

Released by the Navarra Association of Diabetes (ANADI), a member of Somos Patients, as explained by Juantxo Remón, president of Anadi, “Initiatives of this type seek to strengthen the main pillar in diabetes: formation.

And although the projects that exist to date are very diverse, the big difference that ‘Diabegame’ contributes is that learning is done by playing and knowledge is internally and practically internalized without realizing it.

The idea is that people with diabetes have the largest number of training tools at their disposal, which adapt to their day to day and, above all, that they fit their needs. ”

The ‘Diabegame’ game, aimed at patients over 14 years and children's parents with the disease, has an estimated duration of an hour and a half, offering the possibility of stopping and resuming it when desired.

Specifically, the game is divided into a total of seven stages dedicated to different issues related to diabetes, among others food, sport, parties and diseases, sensors and trips, and hypoglycemia and other curiosities.At the end of each module, the participant will obtain a series of downloadable resources - books, videos, apps - that may be very useful for their day to day.And once the game is completed, users will enter a classification with which they can opt for a final prize.
