I would worry more about the ketoacidosis that you presented a year ago, since metformin is not indicated in your case.I recommend that you consult an endocrinologist, who is the specialist to treat diabetic patients.Many times family doctors do not have the necessary training to treat certain aspects of the disease.

Prevention

I also take metformin, half compressed every 8 hours, for breakfast and food, apart from Novorapid and Lantus.
Metformin was put by the endocrine.

Interesting !I thought that metformin was only for people with DM2.
Just out of curiosity, is it for what do you have insulin resistance?
I have read that there are people with DM1 q can generate insulin resistance, something to logically avoid

Try with the primary care doctor, it is not the same but it is also a doctor, they can send you another oral antio -anti -ethical.
