I really have diabetes?

Well days to everyone I hope you can help me with this doubt in December I went to the doctor with diabetes symptoms and after performing some analysis, it was determined what it was like type 2 diabetes with 385 glucose.I immediately started with glibenclamide medication, metmofrine, paravastin, bezafibrate and aceticilic acid.In addition to a very rigorous diet, this at first made me feel good my values were normal, but at 3 week I began to feel bad now because of very low values 60 to 48. The doctor went down the dose without results until finallyI completely retire all the medicine. With this it is normalized on my values and so I have been awake with 93 and after eating I have 116 approx.Even eating things with a little sugar or fat does not raise the value at least not much.So far everything is fine but I still have symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, urine with sweet scent and tired view.I came to think that my glauretro did not serve so I went to take the glucose to a clinic and brand 5 more units, that is, mine marked 96 and that Macaba 101.

@Luislop

Maybe between medication and food control you are better!

What is clear is that you should not neglect.Try not to abuse sugars and do some sport. The more you avoid putting insulin better!

With the rest I can't help you but with the last thing you say ... I find it totally normal, your glucometer is not spoiled.Blood glucose is not a static value, it changes throughout the day.Non -diabetics are not always at a fixed value, they also rise and fall in a range. The difference is that we notice that something is not going well (we have hyperglycemia symptoms) and use a speech to measure. It is not like a fixed photo;)
Have 96 and at the time (or in another device) that you of 101 is the most normal in the world.I, who carry a sensor in my arm, I can test with the glucometer by clicking on the finger and pass the mobile through the sensor at the same time.Well, if the same exact value comes out ... I think it's like seeing a unicorn hahaha

When you return to the consultation, ask your doctor what he thinks is happening with your body, which will be the one who can best guide you.Maybe having changed habits (you eat better, you do sports, etc.) you are not needing for now a lot of help from chemistry.Of course, the symptoms you comment are hyperglycemia ... Mind yourself when you are like this, not only when you wake up or eat and tell you when you go to consultation.

Cheer up!!:*

hello.Your case is curious.A question: why were aspirin (acetyl salicylic acid)?Do you have hypertension or other condition that affects the cardiovascular system such as cholesterol problems, triglycerides and sent it to you as a protective cardio?Or was it only for sugar in 350+ on that visit?

Something you could do is measure yourself in fasting and 2 hours after eating daily, for a couple of weeks, and there you will have a more appropriate panorama.I (I'm not a doctor), but I see weird take away all Sopeton medications, I once heard that you can't do that with metformin. The dose is usually lowered until it is suspended.

If I were you, I would make a battery of studies: ego, bloody chemistry, hematic biometry, ultrasensitive reactive protein because having brought sugar in 380+ can inflame the endothelium (when this rise goes with an increase in triglycerides and uric acid).

I think what happens to you is normal. You need a few weeks for your body to get used to it.When you go down to normal glycemia values, vision is usually altered, there is rare tiredness and urine. It lasts about 2 weeks.
Give yourself time, with diabetes 2 there are many people who control it with food and exercise, and do not need antidiabetics.Of course, you have to control it.

Do not overwhelm with glucometers. They are not exact. There are usually differences. The correct measure is blood analytics.

Good morning my humble opinion would be that you try to put a freestyle sensor that lasts 15 days and you can take the level of glucose 24 hours to definitely take out all doubts .. It is an investment to buy a sensor but it gives you full certainty many works many worksSocial can give it to you for free and there will be no doubt about the level of blood glucose at all times I hope you do not have to place insulin and with the diet and exercise you can find the appropriate level good luck with your treatment!

Hello Pablo.a question. For the freestyle sensor how many things do you have to buy?The reader and the sensor?.how long does it last?15 days?because? The battery is exhausted or what?Is there a similar one that lasts longer? To read the freestyle data, do you have to bring the cell phone closer to the sensor?

There is a big open theme about freestyle that you can look.I was a free user1.I try to answer you very briefly, but you should review the topic in the Freestyle forum.Or if you have more doubts to open a topic. In any case I answer your doubts briefly

-The sensor is mandatory (of course!).The reader does not.You can read the sensor with the mobile. You have to see what mobiles have NFC and that are compatible. On the ABBOTT page sure there is information.

-The sensor stops broadcasting at 15 days. His little battery is prepared for exactly that time.

-My Dexcom sensor, which works very well, lasts even less 10 days.I prefer it, to avoid allergies in the skin.Keep in mind that the sensor comes with special glue, but after so many days and sweat, they can cause allergies.I have done stop using freestyle for that.

-There is a Roche sensor, Eversese, which is injected into the skin, in the arm, with a very short and simple operation, and lasts 6 months. It has improved a lot for what I have read and is an option.

All the best

The sensor costs 60 EUR and you can activate it with your mobile if you have NFC.It is a small investment for 14 days
