The Community of Madrid has awarded a framework agreement for acquiring glucose monitoring systems.Formalization is in this link:

Link

A framework agreement is a supplier selection procedure for a product. From what I see they have been formalized with both Abott and Medtronic and two other suppliers that I do not know what product they will have offered.

This is the Framework Agreement. Now, each managing center can buy the product that most interests him by calling for this a "contract based" on which he will realize what he wants to acquire and invite to present offer to those adjudicators of the Framework Agreement.

It looks that each hospital is a managing center (I do not know for sure because I do not know firsthand the autonomous administration). So each hospital has choice capacity to buy one device or another.Well.Not quite; You will have to buy the one that obtains the greatest score in the call of the contract based and that will depend on how they define the valuation criteria.

That is, what they tell us in a hospital may not be worth another and there may be different devices in each hospital.

I have found that Puerta de Hierro has launched its tender but is not yet awarded

Link ID = 1354949342125

We will comment on what sensor we will touch each one.

Well that.In Catalonia, (I don't know in other CCAA) they give Dexcom to bomb users and free to the rest.I am very surprised if the Free stays out, being cheaper, really.

But of which they speak, Dexcom One, is the one that has the least benefits of Dexcom, isn't it?The G7 model would be better.

Not necessarily.Assessment criteria combine price, technical product characteristics and other factors such as some post -sales service.

But I would be very surprised that, having considerably increased the number of diabetes patients changed to a more expensive device, as @isabelbota comments

Let's see if I find a hole, I look closely at the sheets and I comment

In this search engine you can find the contracts of the Community of Madrid. In the search engine you write glucose monitoring systems and you will get a list of contracts by hospital

Link Ranguage=en&

I have been watching Puerta de Hierro and the assessment criteria follow them

The price has a weight of 70% and the rest are technicians (immersion depth, duration and weight connected to the transmitter?)

At the moment it is in process. When awarded they will publish and we can know the supplier and, with a little luck, the concrete device.

Good morning,
Dexcom is currently the best system in continuous monitoring. It has no competition.I buy my 10 -year -old son for 4 years. It is very expensive, very expensive.Almost € 4,000 a year. The new version has the same benefits that does not include the "Follow" application. That someone from a mobile can see your glucose and of course figures, for my son it does not work for me since I prefer to be pending at all times while in school, excursions, ...... But for an adult it is perfect. The differences between capillary and sensor are quite accurate and the insertion is painless.I recommend it before the freestyle that has a lot of variations.

Characteristics of (Dexcome One*) mentioned by the endocrine*

The Dexcom One glucose monitoring system
A small and simple device to apply to help you get better diabetes control.

Reliable glucose measurements
Thanks to the accuracy of Dexcom One, you can make therapeutic decisions*, such as dosing insulin, directly from your current glucose value and the trend arrow. The Dexcom One system does not require any calibration to offer precise measurements.

*If your glucose alerts and Dexcom One readings do not match the symptoms or expectations, use a blood glucose meter to make therapeutic decisions in relation to diabetes.

Optional high and low alerts
The Dexcom One system can notify you when your blood glucose is out of high glucose levels and low pre -established, so you can act.You can customize the sound and vibration of the alert.

Discreet, simple and comfortable
The Dexcom One sensor can be taken up to 10 days and has a fine profile, which makes it almost unappreciable under clothes. Thanks to the sensor applicator, just press a button to enter the sensor cable in an instant under the skin.In a study, 84% of Dexcom users declared that the sensor insertion was painless.

How does the Dexcom One work?
1) The Dexcom One sensor

Measure glucose levels under the skin
Can be used up to 10 days
It is water resistant (for example, when showering or swimming) ˢ

2) The Dexcom One Transmitter

Send glucose measurements every 5 minutes to your compatible mobile phone
It lasts 90 days: it can be reused in several sensors

3) The Dexcom One application

Provides glucose measurements and high/low level alerts

I ask not to have to look for it:
Does that Dexcom sensor are used for pump control systems?Do you give you any of those systems?
In my ca, I have spent the free 2 to the Medtronic system. The pump and its control, already such, but the sensor (Guardian 4) is a total fucking.
Thank you very much to anyone who answers anything.

Doctors don't know this detail?

Doctors are not patient, normally. It is very complicated to put and remove, with 4 extrafuertes adhesives that irritate your skin and leave waste everywhere.(Look at a video on YouTube, in all I have seen, some detail are left). And you need both hands, it is impossible to wear it alone on your arm, for example. The transmitter bulges like three free but you have to load it every time (old battery model), so the change costs you for an hour.In addition, it takes 2-3 hours to activate, and that time adds it to the duration, there is no way to plan anything. To top it off, it is supposed to last 7 days, but in reality they fail like half of the sensors and stop covering 20 % of the nominal time.(This is twice as worse than free 2, which "only" fails 25 % of the sensors and stops covering 10 %).It gives me the impression that it gives better measure than free 2, in which many sensors mark badly, but what you lose in return does not know if it is worth it.

The house (Medtronic) has announced that it is developing a better model, but it has not yet been seen anywhere.

Doctors have chosen the system for automatic blood glucose control with the 780G pump.

My short experience for the moment with Guardian 4, is as Cristóbal says.

The measurement is more accurate than the freestyle 2 and also if you put a hair reading the sensor is self -libra.

How negative points, it is huge and almost impossible to put alone behind the arm, it takes two hours to start and three sensors have already failed one
