Total support for women's week with diabetes, but we also say, what happens for the rest of the year?
We would like to have this support always!
The Diabetes Madrid Association (ADM), a member of Somos Patients will celebrate from March 6 to 11 the ‘Women's Week with Diabetes’.An initiative that aims to give visibility to a disease that, as they point out from the association, differently affects men and women.
As they point out in a press release, more than 75% of people with diabetes are female but do not receive from the consultation "basic information for women with diabetes".In that sense, the Diabetes Madrid Association plans a calendar of activities that cover from free seminars to colloquiums.
On the 6th, inaugurating the week of activities, the Women's Autocurumal Online Seminar will take place, urological and gynecological that the diabetic woman can present, as well as the causes, preventive care and available treatments or breastfeeding and its benefits.
On Tuesday, March 7, the second part of this seminar will take.
The week of activities will continue on Wednesday, March 8 with the celebration of institutional events for International Women's Day and on March 9 they will celebrate a colloquium with the title “Singular Women one by one” at its headquarters in Madrid.
Finally, on Saturday, March 11, the guided cultural visit ‘Illustrious Malasañeras’ will take place, in which those that participants can learn more about Concepción Arenal, Clara Campoamor, Manuela Malasaña and many other illustrious Malasañeras.
