Anedia: The association of people with type 1 diabetes premieres new premises

After fulfilling its first decade of life at the end of last year, the Galician Association of People with Type I Diabetes, Anedia, continues to grow.

To serve the 160 users who have registered in the health area of ​​Vigo - almost one third of the total - now they have their own premises in the city to be able to give attention in person.

It is not that until now they did not give it, but they had to mention the families at the Álvaro Cunqueiro hospital to do the reception and ask the Sergas for a place there to be able to teach their formations.

Thanks to the assignment of the grandparents of one of its users, Francisco Fernández Lijo and Pilar López Diéguez, now have a two -storey space at number 12 of Carlos Colmeiro LaForet street.

Anedia has become an essential piece when a family receives a type I diagnosis. It began taking care of children.

It then included adolescents and, for two years, also includes adults.
