Question from a veteran who is at the same time a rookie.

Thanks to AI I'm starting to be able to at least ask myself questions that I haven't quite answered.

I am addressing those who have been using DB1, 1.5 and 2 and 1+2 for a long time as well as those who have been using DB1 for a short time.

Old diagnosis they gave me: Pancreatic reserve based on an overdose, I believe, of glucagon.

Not one more test.

When the test is done: when he was almost in a ketonic coma.

But I know that years ago I also had it but mildly. How many years?quizas 10 o 15 años atras.

Therefore I don't know the genesis, I don't know the type (origin/cause/effect). Is it autoimmune? Was I LADA?Are there other types/other genesis?Being autoimmune can be treated with anti-autoimmunity treatments like other diseases.

Now I know I have Double-Diabetes: should I treat autoimmunity and use DB2 antidiabetics (the famous ozempic)?

Who can provide me with their experience and knowledge? There are many years of insulin therapy without genesis or alternative treatments because we do not know what type it is.

That's a long time with obesity and insulin resistance and insulin macrodoses.

Thank you very much for your contributions.

If you are overweight, doctors go for the easy, T2D and that's it.In your case with insulin because I imagine you produced little due to the weight. They would measure your reserve with C-peptide.

T1D is easy to diagnose, they test you for antibodies and it's clear. And they also measure your pancreatic reserve to evaluate, along with age, the subtype, for example LADA.

For diabetes there is no alternative, it is always insulin because we either produce little or nothing.Or pills if there is enough insulin to stimulate the pancreas and reduce resistance.

Ozempic and others are insulin, but they have become fashionable to lose weight among non-diabetics.

The weight is against you.Insulin retains fat, the more you use, the more you retain, and the more fat you gain, the more insulin.lThe only way to get out of the loop is to exercise a lot and eat protein, little fat and reduce carbohydrates to a minimum.
