Good morning.I have been taking pills for more than a year and a half
for heart problems that "dilute the blood" and it is causing me
problems applying sensors. In the last plays, already too many, I get a lot of blood through the central hole and
Finish giving error in the first hours of use and asks for replacement.Do you know
Any way or "trick" for these situations?I have always understood that a
Gotita nothing happens, they even say that this is more precisely but when
You need several scarves to clean you, the subject is more complicated.Thank you
for reading me.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Excessive bleeding when applying glucose sensors can be a challenge, especially for those who take anticoagulants or "blood diluents."Here are advice that could help you reduce bleeding and improve the sensor application:

Cool the area before application

Applying cold in the area before placing the sensor can help contract the blood vessels and minimize bleeding. You can use an ice cream bag or a cold compress for 1-2 minutes before the application. This method, recommended by a friend, could make the process more comfortable and effective.

It works for me.

Thank you very much for the experiences.I will try. This being asking for replacement sensors every week and having to be pleading that not blood too when applying a new one is not pleasant or getting up with the blood stained inner shirt. How much you learn with this forum!

I understand you because I was taking Sintrom several years and any wound, even if it was very small, took a long time to stop bleeding.

Luckily they took it away before using sensors.

They had registered me in the matter for which they gave it to me, but they didn't take away the medication: "As long as I do well, keep taking it."I had to insist a lot on the problems I had until they took it out.

I would also consult your doctors if possible an adjustment, change of
treatment or whatever, to see not having those problems or that
They affect less.

What I see here in the forum, is that when you have several diseases whose treatments interfere with each other, it is much more difficult to manage them than when you only have one.

I hope you find a solution.

Good morning.Well, the solution they give me in my health center is exactly the one that gives above @juanen_ cold in the area! The nurse tells me that this will come out less blood because of the collapse in the veins of the arm or where each one puts it.Thanks for the answers.

I am also taking anticoagulants due to heart problems and the first sensor that cardiologist put me a lot and she simply cleaned me a little and put on the sensor a "cosmograp" patch and so I continue doing every time it bleeds me
