Lidocain for diabetes?

Hello, the truth is that I do not have diabetes but because my mother had a gestational diabetes I had vision problems, with all this I am very interested in this issue lately my mother -in -law came with the news that I had found a new treatment that was to injectLidocain every day, I have some knowledge of medically I know that this is an anasthesic and I do not know what can benefit it but for this reason my question goes if anyone knows if this treatment exists and that it is what truly chaaces and ifIt has no side effects
