Hello good

Recently, debuting with type 1 diabetes and currently chuto 3 times a day 8 UDS of Novorapid and Lantus at night at 11h 28 units. The glucose controls these days give me between 80 and 163 mg/dl being the highest for now.

The fact is that rather in the afternoon even consuming some carbohydrate (35 ~ 40 gr of bread) and I have a lot of appetite.I manage to calm it with exercise, water and tobacco (if I know that I should not) but I suffer a little. At dinner time I am arriving between 90 and 110 of mg/dl (21h)

My questions are the following:

- Could you consume in these periods of appetite any type of food under carbohydrates;such as fruit or some type supplement: juices or cookies "without sugars"?.
- Do you use/what do you think of the range of light or "sugarless" products?

In the medical center I had a talk too standard about my current health status and I have many doubts.Anyway, I have an appointment with a diabetes specialist friendship that will inform me in a more customized way, but I am also interested in knowing that you think or do you in these cases.

Hello

If you are hungry halfway you can take something without carbohydrates (but without abusing, because the theory is demonstrated, that proteians also upload the glucose) test to take ham, a tortilla turkey.

The fruit, cookies, juices have many hydrates, in addition to high glycemic index ...

You have to be careful with "sugarless" products, which does not mean that they do not have carbohydrates, I am not very supportive of these products because they usually carry much more fat, the taste is quite mediocre and also carry edulcorants thanThey feel badly bad. What you should learn is to handle the diet by portions and put the insulin according to the amount of hydrates you eat. It seems complicated but when you have been calculating by the eye for some time ....: Mrgreen:

Greetings

Well yesterday they gave me a talk about the diabetes that left me the very clear things, on the subject of HC rations and those things.

What I deduce that this appetite was derived from a bad meal.I was performing a 4 -portry meal of HC being able to make a 8 ch.They supported me to carry a diet with less calories and portions since the meals that these days did not reach 2500 and 29.7 r HC that imposed me or by Asomo: D and replace it with one of 2000 and 27 r HC, which stillSo I will not eat, it is a batch of food !!

Sali super happy with that talk with that specialist and wishing to attend my quote with my educator to tell her the good results I am getting.

As for the "sugarless" snacks, I am already aware of those sugar substitutes such as mannitol, isomal, etc. well ... that you will surely be all the parrot on the subject.

Although in the event that I had appetite I find the issue of nuts very interesting, although I see that they are rich in fat, which does not co -abuse.

Since I went high with 59.6 kg until today, I have won 6 kg (5 days) and eating missing ... I hope not to gain much more: D
